Medical Services

Jiangyin Lingang Hospital

Located in the Lingang economic development zone of Jiangyin in Jiangsu Province, the Jiangyin Taifu Lingang Hospital provides comprehensive medical services with a class 2A hospital grading. Following a relocation to a new purpose-built complex in October 2024, it now offers state-of-the-art facilities with 700 beds. The hospital houses eight core disciplines: minimally invasive surgery, interventional therapy, comprehensive women’s health, endoscopic treatment, orthopaedic care, chronic disease management, health management, and specialised medical services. It is dedicated to enhancing a cross-regional medical consortium in collaboration with Shanghai’s leading 3A hospitals.

Hongen Medical Group

In 2019, CITIC Pacific became the majority shareholder of Hogen Medical Group, a Hangzhou-based hospital operator established in 2002. Today Hongen’s network includes three hospitals, including Hangzhou Cheng Dong Hospital, Shaoxing Cheng Dong Hospital and Shangyu Third Hospital. The company is currently investing to upgrade facilities, attract world-class practitioners and enhance specialty service offerings.

Shanghai Youhe Medical

In 2022, CITIC Pacific became the controlling stakeholder in Shanghai Youhe Medical. Established in 2011, Youhe Medical is a leading medical equipment distributor and service provider. Its operational footprint extends across four major markets in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Henan, as well as multiple cities in South China, Southwest China and North China. Distributing over 30 domestic and international medical equipment product lines, it provides professional solutions for clinical intervention, diagnosis and treatment in the fields of gastroenterology and early-stage respiratory cancer to over 700 medical institutions as a trusted medical equipment provider.

Positioned as a developer and manager of premier properties, CITIC Pacific Properties is focused on mixed-use, commercial and residential projects with operations that extend across the commercial lifecycle to include investment, project development, marketing and property management. Landmark projects include the Lujiazui Harbour City complex at the core of the Huangpu River district in Shanghai, as well as the flagship CITIC Square and T Center developments which have helped to redefine the modern Shanghai skyline.

Hong Kong

With nearly 30 years of property development experience in Hong Kong, past projects include commercial, industrial and residential properties such as CITIC Tower, CITIC Telecom Tower, The Paragon and Bay Villas. Our recent residential developments, KADOORIA and The Entrance, have been well received by the market and garnered numerous awards for architectural design, property management and marketing achievements. In 1994, we formed a partnership with Hong Kong Resort International in the development of Discovery Bay, a residential community project which covers a land area of about 650 hectares. To date, we have built more than 8,500 residential units in 18 stages.

CITIC Pacific’s involvement with Hong Kong’s traffic tunnels began in the 1980s, when we participated in build-operate-transfer arrangements for the Eastern and Western Harbour Crossings. When the BOT arrangements ended, we continued to support Hong Kong’s tunnels through our subsidiary, Pacific Infrastructure, under management-operation-maintenance agreements. Today, Pacific Infrastructure is one of Hong Kong’s major tunnel operators. It manages the Central-Wan Chai Bypass, Western Harbour Crossing, Eastern Harbour Crossing and Tate’s Cairn Tunnel.

Eastern Harbour Crossing

The Eastern Harbour Crossing opened to traffic on 21 September 1989. In 1985, CITIC Pacific participated in the construction and operation of the Eastern Harbour Crossing under BOT (Build, Operate and Transfer) arrangements. Its subsidiary, Pacific Infrastructure, assumed the tunnel management under an MOM agreement from 2016 onwards. Spanning 2.2 kilometres, the tunnel is the sole shared road-rail tunnel in Hong Kong. It currently handles an average daily traffic volume of approximately 67,600 vehicles.

Western Harbour Crossing

The Western Harbour Crossing opened to traffic on 30 April 1997. In 1993, CITIC Pacific participated in the construction and operation of the Western Harbour Crossing under a BOT arrangement. Its subsidiary, Pacific Infrastructure, assumed the tunnel management under an MOM agreement from 2023 onwards. Spanning 2.0 kilometres, the tunnel is the first dual three-lane tunnel in Hong Kong. It currently handles an average daily traffic volume of approximately 102,500 vehicles.

Western Harbour Crossing

The Western Harbour Crossing opened to traffic on 30 April 1997. In 1993, CITIC Pacific participated in the construction and operation of the Western Harbour Crossing under a BOT arrangement. Its subsidiary, Pacific Infrastructure, assumed the tunnel management under an MOM agreement from 2023 onwards. Spanning 2.0 kilometres, the tunnel is the first dual three-lane tunnel in Hong Kong. It currently handles an average daily traffic volume of approximately 102,500 vehicles.

Tate’s Cairn Tunnel

The Tate’s Cairn Tunnel opened to traffic on 26 June 1991. In July 2018, Pacific Infrastructure assumed the tunnel management under an MOM agreement. Spanning 4.0 kilometres, the tunnel is the longest toll road tunnel in Hong Kong. It currently handles an average daily traffic volume of approximately 56,600 vehicles.

Traffic Management

Our smart surveillance system operates inside our tunnels 24/7, enabling real-time traffic flow monitoring, traffic control, travel alert issuance and other measures to ensure a safe and efficient tunnel passage.

Electromechanical Maintenance

Our specialised electromechanical team have adopted a comprehensive management system that encompasses routine inspections, regular maintenance and emergency repairs of the tunnel lighting, ventilation, drainage and communications. This allows our tunnel electromechanical systems to operate smoothly throughout the year.

Structural Maintenance

A set of standardized maintenance protocols have been established to ensure the proactive identification of potential risks and timely repairs, with a focus on three crucial tunnel structural components: tunnel walls, road surfaces and firefighting facilities. The approach allows us to eliminate safety concerns in advance and ensures the tunnels’ long-term functioning.

Emergency Response

A 24-hour emergency response team stands by ready to respond to emergencies such as traffic accidents and equipment failures, ensuring every incident is handled swiftly and professionally.

Marathon

Pacific Infrastructure has long served as a key partner in Hong Kong’s marathon events, consistently providing essential routes for major marathon competitions. Each year, we commit the Western Harbour Crossing for the prestigious Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon, the Central-Wan Chai Bypass Tunnel and the Eastern Harbour Crossing for the Hong Kong Streetathon. Pacific Infrastructure implements a tailored traffic arrangement plan for each marathon event based on its race route, meanwhile ensuring tunnels are thoroughly cleaned and well-ventilated to allow runners achieve their best performance.

Charity and Philanthropy

Pacific Infrastructure actively participates in charities through employee fundraising initiatives and volunteer services across Hong Kong, holding charitable events in collaboration with government-recognised welfare organizations including the Community Chest of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Christian Service, the Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society Kowloon and the Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service.

Social Inclusion

Pacific Infrastructure actively advocates for social inclusion. For instance, we collaborate with Caritas Lok Mo Integrated Vocational Training Centre to provide internship opportunities and enhance the employment competitiveness of trainees. Pacific Infrastructure also signed the Racial Diversity & Inclusion Charter with the Equal Opportunities Commission to promote the development of an ethnically diverse workplace.

Ship Management and Chartering

Based in Singapore, Cheng Xin Ship Management is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CITIC Pacific established in 2011 which owns and operates a fleet of dry bulk vessels that provide world-wide freight logistical support to CITIC Pacific companies. The fleet includes twelve 115,000 tonne Handysize and Capesize dry bulk carriers.

CITIC Telecom International

CITIC Pacific holds a 41% interest in CITIC Telecom International Holdings (1883.HK) which was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2007. As one of the largest Asia-Pacific telecommunications hubs, CITIC Telecom’s services include voice messaging, SMS, value-added mobile and data services, information and communication technology solutions. CITIC Telecom International also holds a 99% interest in Companhia De Telecomunicações de Macau, S.A.R.L..

CITIC Pacific Energy invests in and manages power plants with a total installed capacity of 8,000MW and operates supporting businesses that extend across the industrial supply chain from mining and shipping to power sales. The company is continuously expanding its renewable energy portfolio with investments in solar and wind power generation.

Coal-fired Power Generation

Our coal-fired power plants include Jiangsu Ligang Power Plant, one of the largest coal-fired power plants in China, Hebei Hanfeng Power Plant, Inner Mongolia Shenglu Power Plant and Jiangsu Huaibei Go-On Power Plant with a total installed capacity of 8,000MW. We have also established an end-to-end supply chain through our electricity sales business, which has developed long-term partnerships with major electricity users.

Wind power generation

CITIC Pacific Energy has acquired multiple centralised wind power projects, including our largest wind power project in Inner Mongolia with 1,000MW installed capacity, which was completed and connected to the power grid in 2023. Currently, two additional projects, the phase III wind power project in Xilinhot, Inner Mongolia and another project in Fujin, Heilongjiang province are under construction.

Solar Power Generation

The company has established partnerships across various industries and collaborates with regional partners to develop distributed photovoltaic projects. It is also developing and investing in centralised photovoltaic power projects.

Coal Mining

Supporting our core coal-fired power generation business, we own a 30% interest in Xin Julong Coal Mine in Shandong Province, which uses state-of-the-art mining technologies and equipment to supply high quality, low sulphur and low ash coking coal using a custom blending process.

Shipping

Jiangsu Lidian Shipping Co., Ltd. is one of the largest shipping companies in Jiangsu Province, specialising in coal transport with a bulk carrier capacity of over 530,000DWT. We have also developed CITIC Jiangyin Port in partnership with China National Coal Group to build a versatile and environmentally friendly bulk cargo terminal along the Yangtze River.

DCH Auriga is an Asian-based integrated market management provider specialising in healthcare. For over 50 years, we’ve helped our partners bring essential pharmaceutical and life science offerings to Asia with a comprehensive range of market management solutions including product registration, marketing, warehousing, delivery and on-site inventory management.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, DCH Auriga has operations in the mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines. The products we distribute include pharmaceuticals, vaccines, diagnostics, consumables and medical devices as well as health and personal care products. CITIC Pacific Special Steel (000708.SZ) is China’s largest dedicated manufacturer of special steel with an annual production capacity of over 13 million tonnes. Our customised products are sold in China and more than 60 countries worldwide, with a wide range of applications in auto components, machinery manufacturing and shipbuilding as well as in the energy, transport and other industries. The company operates five steel plants, two raw material processing facilities and two plants for downstream and complementary products. Our commitment to the highest standard of quality, specialty R&D capabilities and long-term partnerships have set us apart.

In December 2023, CITIC Pacific increased its shareholding in the Nanjing Iron & Steel Group, further expanding its special steel business. Nanjing Iron & Steel Group has introduced an industry system known as “one body, four elements, and one chain”. “One body” refers to special steel materials and “four elements” the development of intelligent manufacturing, connectivity, new materials, and new energy and environmental solutions through its “Industry Operations+Industrial Investment” strategy. “One chain” encompasses the expansion of the industrial chain and supports increased internationalisation through the development of core overseas assets, such as Indonesia’s Azure High-Tech Group and Germany’s Kohler. Its subsidiary Nanjing Iron & Steel Co. Ltd (NISCO, 600282.SH) is an industry-leading, high-efficiency, full-process steel joint venture with an annual production capacity of 10 million tonnes. It has established itself as a global leader in the scale and efficiency of single medium-thick plate production, with a highly competitive production base for special long steel products and composite materials in China.
